Snack Attack: When flavours collide

Doritos decided to go big or go home with their new 'Collide' flavour packets. Packing two bold flavour combinations together in one packet these leave your tastebuds tingling and your fingers reaching into the packet for more. These are great for when you cannot decide what flavour to get and just want a little bit of everything. They currently have two packets in the range one with Hot Wings and Ranch and the other containing Lime and Sweet Chilli. Hopefully they have plans to bring out some more flavour combinations. What would you like to taste next?

Hot Wings and Ranch
Upon opening you are greeted with the creamy, salty smell of the ranch. The hots wings just hide in the background with a subtle spice smell and a few hints of tomato. On tasting each flavour the ranch is slightly tangy, creamy, herby and a little salty. The hot wings flavour is very nice and spicy, lots of tomato and chilli flavour comes through and after eating a few your tongue starts to tingle. Having both flavours in the packet together creates harmony, the ranch cools down the spice from the hot wings meaning you are able to enjoy them for longer before your mouth and lips tingle from all the spice.
Sweet Chilli and Lime
This flavour combination doesn't have a smell as strong at the previous ones, you get some of the sweet chilli and just a little hint of the lime. Not as appealing as the ranch/hot wings one but still enjoyable. The lime smacks you in the face with flavour, bright, zesty these chips sing on your taste buds. A touch of black pepper adds a little kick to the lime. The sweet chilli has a good strong flavour, sweet with a very small hint of spice. You would need to eat quite a lot of these to really get the mouth to tingle. The lime is the better of these two flavours and I would be happy to have it paired with another one instead of sweet chilli but that's just my personal preference.

If I was to purchase these again I would choose the Ranch and Hot Wings as both flavours were enjoyable. That's not to say that the Sweet Chilli and Lime ones were bad but the Lime was the only flavour in the packet that I would enjoy eating again. Have you tried them? What did you think?
