feeling a little uncultured

Nature is truly leading the way when it comes to this cider. Made using unsprayed fruits and the natural yeasts that occur on the fruit and around the vineyard, Ngeringa truly allows the apple to do the talking and just makes sure its bottled up for our enjoyment.
This cloudy opaque cider is unlike any other cider out there. It's not just a typical cloudy cider, there is something wild and loose about the style and taste that ties together into a really interesting flavour profile. It's pale yellow colour, like a weak sunshine on a winters morning. The nose on this cider is very earthy with tangy apple notes, though unlike some ciders the apple is a little more muted and not as bright as it sometimes can be. The taste has always surprised me whenever I have tried this cider before and that's because the most distinctive flavour for me is Feijoa. While this is made from nothing but apples, something in the process, in the uncultured and natural yeast creates that flavour profile. After your taste buds are hit with the feijoa flavour you get the earthy apple flavour that lingers on the tongue. It's tangy and a little bitter but green apple bitter so it's a very natural taste, not something unpleasant and is balanced very well within the cider. The cider has a dry finish while still maintaining a refreshing quality. If you are looking for something a little different but still packed full of flavour then this is a great cider to try. If you are into more sweeter styles then this might not be something you would enjoy but I also think it would be great to try with food as this dryer style lends itself better to food pairing as opposed to sweeter styles.
