Woolshed Brewery is located on the Murray River just north of Renmark in South Australia. In 2008, years after the shearing shed had closed for the last time, they decided to open and operate a brewery. One of the many wonderful things about Woolshed is that it is a zero waste brewery. Using state of the art designs they use and reuse hot and cold water, with all waste water being used on there large gardens. All the spent grain is used to feed livestock and they also upgraded their solar power. Being able to support South Australia, be environmentally friendly and drink great booze at the same time is something wonderful

Hard Lemonade
Created using Riverland lemons and grapes this zesty Hard Lemonade really hits the spot. A pale opaque colour with a bright fresh smell that is clean and clear with a nice lemon zing. The flavour is full of tartness, it's tangy and doesn't apologies for it. Unlike some lemon beverages, this doesn't taste like citrus sugar water and instead it's like biting down on a slightly sweet fresh lemon. I can feel my mouth watering each time I take a sip. You do still get a little undertone of the wine that all wine mixed drinks have but it doesn't distract from the real star, the lemon.

Rude Ruby
Such a delicate light opaque pink colour with a very subtle pink grapefruit smell, this was an absolute delight to drink. Sweeter then the lemonade but still tart enough they really balanced this drink well. When you take a sip the drink sings on your tongue and then finishes nice and dry with a light lingering flavour. The wine undertone isn't as prominent in the Rude Ruby, mainly the beautiful pink grapefruit. Out of the two this was my favourite, so much so that I had to go back the next day and get another one.

These cheeky little drinks will take you to Utopia with their 8.1% alcohol content and being 2.1 standard drinks each, don't get too carried away by their fantastic taste or you'll be on the floor before you know it.
